ICYMI: Hagerty Rewarded for following his leader: Cozy White House seat, Corporate PAC cash & Larry Kudlow; Mackler listens/talks with health care experts, workers.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 23, 2020

NASHVILLE – U.S. Senate candidate Bill Hagerty cashed in a few Brownie points this past week, that he earned doing exactly what his special interest bankrollers have told him to do, landing his campaign more than $200,000 from Corporate PACs, more than $30,000 from fellow members of the White House COVID-19 Economic Recovery Group, $10,000 from insider-trading U.S. Senator David Perdue who cashed in casino shares and bought Netflix and PPE stocks following a classified pandemic briefing, and White House Economic Advisor Larry “nearly airtight” Kudlow participating in a behind-closed-doors campaign conference call during an economic meltdown.

Meanwhile, decorated Iraq war combat veteran James Mackler continues meeting with and listening to Tennesseans he’s asking to represent in the U.S. Senate, and earning more support from powerful national groups.

CORPORATIONS ALREADY KNOW WHAT KIND OF SENATOR BILL HAGERTY WILL BE…AND THEY LIKE IT A LOT.

“AIRTIGHT” KUDLOW IS ON THE JOB

Hagerty, who encouraged folks to put their lives in the hands of Trump and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, brought in reinforcements having White House Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow join him for a behind-the-scenes campaign conference call. Kudlow has infamously insisted the Administration’s response to COVID-19 was “pretty close to airtight” and, like Hagerty, advocates prematurely reopening the economy because “the cure cannot be worse than the disease.” Doesn’t the White House Economic Advisor have anything more important to do than stimulate a bad Senate campaign?

MACKLER LISTENS AND TALKS TO ACTUAL EXPERTS

Providing a clear contrast, Mackler spoke to an actual public health expert and made the full 50-minute conversation available to all Tennesseans. Should Tennessee prematurely open up? Can we have a healthy economy without healthy people? Following his call, Mackler spoke with Marion County News about why he’s running for U.S. Senate (spoiler: It’s not to serve himself).

Next week, Mackler will talk with Tennessee Labor Leader and President of the Nashville Central Labor Council Vonda McDaniel on National Workers Memorial Day.

Mackler’s campaign continued attracting national distinctions this week.

AND WHERE IS BILL ANYWAY?

In one single press release, Hagerty’s campaign said, he “will continue his senate run,” twice while he was quoted saying “I look forward to returning to the campaign trail soon.”

HE’S CELEBRATING #RAMADAN

AND HAGERTY’S THURSDAY NIGHTS CONTINUE TO BE WILD…

We can’t wait for what next Thursday will bring. Will Hagerty replay his Senate confirmation hearing? Will he brag about how he helped install Michael Flynn, Betsy DeVos, Scott Pruitt and others into the Executive Branch as the head of Trump’s Transition Team? We can’t wait!

193 days until Election Day.
