Iron Workers Local 492 Endorses James Mackler For US Senate

NASHVILLE – James Mackler, Iraq war combat veteran, JAG officer, and Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, today received the endorsement of the Iron Workers Local 492. Chartered in 1936, Local 492 has 450 members living and working in middle Tennessee and the surrounding area.

“We need a U.S. Senator that will focus on the issues that matter most to working men and woman and Local 492 believes James Mackler is the best person for the job,” said Jacen Davidson, President of Iron Workers Local 492. “James stepped forward to run against a powerful incumbent U.S. Senator because he knows we need to change business as usual in Washington, and we know he’ll always fight for us.”

“I’m running for U.S. Senate because while people are hurting and worried, partisan career politicians in Washington pick one ideological fight after another,” said James. “I’m honored to have Local 492 on my team to help change Washington.”

Since launching his campaign in April, James has raised over $750,000 from thousands of individual contributions from Tennesseans across 83 counties.
